The Best Water Bottles for the Job
Most Americans will see plastic items or surfaces thousands of times in their daily life. Plastic has joined the ranks of wood, glass, metal and rubber as one of the most common construction materials, and while plastic certainly has its uses, it cannot do everything, and it is also a matter of concern for pollution. Plastic is known to melt when exposed to heat, and plastic goods are not as durable or tough as metal, glass, or wood counterparts. Some materials have yet to be replaced with plastic, such as wood or glass windows or certain metal goods. One area where plastic and traditional materials compete is water bottles and other drinking vessels. While plastic water bottles are typical and useful for emergency relief supplies, such as to a hurricane-ravaged area, other bottles may better off as plastic free water bottle varieties. Everyday Americans don’t need to get their hands on emergency-ration plastic bottles, so plastic free water bottles such as a metal thermal water bottle, lead free stainless steel water bottles, and even BPA free stainless steel bottle models are sometimes preferred.
The Need For Water
Human beings need water to survive, as do all other animals, and the human body is close to 70% water. Some tissues such as the brain have quite a high percentage of water in them, in fact, and dehydration is a major health hazard. Losing just 1% of one’s body water can lead to acute thirst, and losing 5% or so may lead to significant distress. Losing 10-15% of the body’s water may be lethal. So, Americans always take care to re hydrate either with plain water to drink or water-rich goods such as fruits. Water can be found from many sources for drinking, such as public water fountains (often with chilled water), sinks in the house (providing tap water), and water bottles too. People may need water during hot months when they are sweating more often and exhale a lot of moisture with their breath. When a person is exercising, many health experts recommend drinking water every 20 minutes or so. What is more, studies have suggested that drinking water half an hour before eating a meal can help reduce the total calories consume, and some Americans may find that appealing.
A Fine Water Bottle
A person can’t bring their kitchen sink with them when going out, and not all areas have a water fountain on hand. Rather, many Americans may opt to bring water with them or buy bottled water from a vending machine or at a grocery store. These are often plastic bottles, but while these are convenient, there may be some better options. For one thing, plastic bottles have no insulation properties whatsoever, and cold liquids inside will soon warm up or even become hot. A bottle of cold water left in a hot car in summer may be warm or even too hot to drink safely when the person returns. Plastic bottles, along with commercial plastic bags and beer can rings, are known to pollute rapidly, and plastic does not bio degrade. A lot of plastic trash can be found in the wild today, and curbing this pollution means stepping up plastic recycling efforts as well as replacing such bottles with plastic free water bottle varieties.
Everyday Americans may choose plastic free water bottles such as insulated steel bottles. The advantages includes eliminating plastic waste, a tougher bottle that’s resistant to damage and punctures, being reusable many times, and its excellent insulation. Such a metal bottle may be quite large, and some models of metal plastic free water bottles may contain a whole wine bottle’s worth of liquid. The metal and vacuum spaces inside mean that hot and cold liquids retain their desired temperature for hours on end, especially cold ones. A bottle of iced water in a hot environment may have its contents warm up very slowly, convenient for the user. The bottle’s label may describe how long contents may stay hot or cold.
Even parents of babies may prefer plastic free water bottles, since glass bottles may avoid some health hazards of certain plastic models. Babies are sensitive, so parents may appreciate how much safer a glass baby-feeding bottle may be.
