Which Drain Cleaner is Best?
Every once and a while your drain will get clogged. There are many things that could clog your drain including hair, food, soap, and plenty of other things. Thankfully there are many drain cleaners on the market. However, which drain cleaner is right for you? In this video, you will learn that different drain cleaners work best on different types of clogs.
In this video, seven different drain cleaners were thoroughly tested on several different types of clogs. The drain cleaners used were Drano, Liquid Plmr, Lye, Clobber, Hydrochloric Acid, Drain Sticks, and Roebic. During the hair test, they found that Drano, Liquid Plumr, and Lye worked the best.
During the vegetable test, Clobber was the best drain cleaner. As for bacon grease, Drano, Liquid Plumr, Clobber, and Hydrochloric Acid were all equally effective. When it came to dissolving paper towel and tape, none of the products were able to dissolve them. These clogs might require physically removing the clog instead. Surprisingly, these same chemicals were able to dissolve metal corrosion fairly well. Lye, Drain Sticks, and Roebic were the best at this. According to this test, bathroom clogs are best solved using Liquid Plumr, Drano, or Lye.
