Having Difficulty Sleeping? You May Want to Think About Ergonomic Beds
Are you having trouble getting the quality sleep you need to feel rested for the next day? Are you experiencing health complications that may be due to a poor mattress or bed system? If either of these are the case, you may want to consider getting ergonomic beds or even an adjustable memory foam bed in order to promote good health and sleep better at night.
The American Chiropractic Association reports that the act of sleeping adds fifty extra pounds of pressure to your spine. With this in mind, it is perhaps not surprising that more than half of adults in the United States say they experience recurring pain, as stated by the National Sleep Foundation.
One of the conditions associated with the pain may be edema, in which fluids congregate in limbs and one’s legs and feet experience discomfort and swelling. Additionally a conventional flat bed is not designed to properly support the S-shape of the spine, leaving areas of the spine that do not get the necessary reinforcement that is needed for quality sleep.
In order to compensate, the body may naturally shift during sleep in order to get alleviate the pain that is being felt. With a product like an adjustable memory foam bed, however, this may not be necessary, and the right sleep comfort may be more readily attainable.
